JUICE CLEANSE FAQs
Have Questions About Juice Cleanses?
We Have Answers!
Q: In what order do I drink the juices??
A: Your cleanse will include an outline— customized by our juice squad— that details the order in which to enjoy your juices each day, and their ingredients. Each bottle’s lid will be numbered to correspond with the outline.
Q: When do I drink each juice?
A: Try to evenly space consumption of your juices. Typically, drinking them 2-3 hours apart works well, but you can enjoy a juice whenever you are feeling hungry, or would normally have a meal. Aim though to consume your final juice at least one-hour before bed.
Q: Will I lose weight?
A: A juice cleanse is a short-term solution to weight loss; HOWEVER, it is also an optimal way to jumpstart your path to a healthier lifestyle and to kick-off a weight loss plan. Consider the cleanse as the opportunity to reset and detoxify before embarking on your healthy eating journey. We believe that whole, plant-based foods are the answer to many of life’s ailments and can open the door for an overall more fulfilled lifestyle..
Q: Can I drink coffee during a juice cleanse?
A: Juice cleansing is aimed at reducing acidity in the body, so coffee/caffeine can sometimes adversely impact this process. Consuming a small amount of caffeine each day won’t hurt, so if you can’t cut-out coffee entirely, try to limit it to one cup per day. If you add milk to your coffee, ensure it is plant-based! And, don’t be surprised if you don’t crave coffee as much… cleanses often boost energy levels. And, keep in mind that herbal, non-caffeinated teas, like green tea, are great alternatives to coffee (during your cleanse).
Q: How much water should I drink while cleansing?
A: Drink plenty of water each day! It is important to stay hydrated during cleansing. Juices contain some hydrating content, but they are not a replacement for water. Plus, drinking water can be helpful if you are feeling hungry between juices, and can also help the body flush-out toxins more efficiently. For a little flavor and to boost its detoxifying capabilities, add a squeeze of fresh lemon to your water.

Helpful Tip: After you finish a juice, fill the bottle with water, swirl and drink. This way, you will ensure you are drinking water after every juice, and you’ll be able to enjoy the last bits of juice from inside the bottle.
Q: Can I exercise during a cleanse?
A: Rigorous exercise is not recommended while cleansing since you will be consuming only a very small number of calories. However, light exercise, like walking, stretching, or yoga is helpful for stimulating the body’s digestive process. And, it may help relieve anxiety or boredom.
Q: What if I don’t feel well while cleansing?
A: Your cleanse is clearing your body of toxins and returning it to a more alkaline state. This change of chemistry can sometimes cause you to feel a little off. A decrease in energy, body aches, mood swings, and other side effects are normal. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep, and finding ways to ease anxiety. Certain organs are also associated with certain emotions. Your body is working hard to cleanse itself during this time, so your organs may be stimulating emotional responses. So, focus on stress-relieving activities to calm your mind.
Q: I’ve completed my cleanse— now what?
A: Take it easy! You have just flushed toxins and returned your body to a cleaner, more natural state. So, give your body the opportunity to acclimate by slowly resuming a normal eating pattern. For the first few days, eat smaller meals that include primarily fruits and vegetables. And, try to keep treats to a minimum, and avoid dairy, meat, alcohol, and fried foods. Ongoing, ensure to regularly consume adequate amounts of water and produce, and try to reduce (or eliminate) your intake of sugar, caffeine, alcohol, and animal products.

Helpful Tip: Juice cleanses help return your body to a “blank slate.” So, if you have been concerned or suspicious about a food allergy or sensitivity, slowly reintroduce suspect foods into your diet following a cleanse. Doing so may help you to identify which food(s) are causing you trouble.
